The Pousada de Estói was built in the old Estói Palace (19th century), which originally belonged to the Viscount of Estói, José Francisco da Silva. The construction of the Palace lasted about 20 years, ending with a grand celebration on May 2, 1909 in the Palace gardens. After the death of the Viscount of Estói, the Palace was kept in the family until 1987 when it was purchased by the city of Faro. Currently, the Palace is being transformed into the future Pousada de Estói.
Composed of the main building with the old tea pavilions and its fantastic Versailles style gardens, this amazing building is located in the small town of Estói, 10 km from Algarve’s district capital, Faro.
This unit, with about 4 hectares, near the Ruins of Milreu, also includes the former stables and dairies, which are currently being converted into a space dedicated to events.
